Travelling with a baby: Korea Day 4 [[Photoshoot with Local Lens @ Gyeongbokgung Palace + Revisit Insadong]]


Our day four in Seoul was kept aside for a family vacation shoot with Local Lens' photographer, Steve. The one hour session cost us USD$310. Not cheap but Papa Kwek and I are very into photoshoots and don't mind splurging on it for memory sake. 

Since it was our first time taking an official family shoot together with Miss Kwek ever since her newborn days, we can't help feeling a little nervous. All we were hoping were for a couple of shots to turn out great, just so we could justify our spending! lol.

Well, all worries were unneccessary. The photographs turned out much better than we expected for it really ain't easy to take photos of children!

Steve has a daughter himself and hence, he was able to interact with Miss Kwek quite well. Steve's style is more of posing and a little of "do your own thing while I snap away" kind which we were totally fine with as Miss Kwek was all smiley at the camera that day. How lucky!
We had chosen Gyeongbokgung Palace for our photoshoot because we wanted a cultural backdrop and it's a place we had visited together in the past, hence, we will be able to replicate shots with Miss Kwek! 2014 vs 2017
Though our session lasted for only 45minutes as Miss Kwek was starting to crank up, Steve was able to produce a good number of photographs for us. Also, very little editing was required (which I absolutely adored) hence, we were able to receive our softcopies within a couple of days.

Our day continued as we returned to our airbnb for a short while for Miss Kwek to nap before heading out to explore and find lunch around Insadong area.

Insadong was one of my top favourites in Seoul during our previous trip. Loved how cultural meets modern here. It did not change much and am still loving the place very much. (Read more on Insadong here.) 
Another major love for this place? We finally found a road side restaurant which has a baby chair! It was our first meal along the steets, not in a mall, but in a street restaurant! No photographs of the restaurant or restaurant name because, well, we just wanted to sit and eat proper!
After lunch we revisited Ssamziegil complex. It was surprisingly very quiet! I was looking for the shop I made a bracelet from few years back but sadly, it was no where in sight. 
We headed to the roof terrace where the love locks were and tried finding ours but of cause, it was mission impossible! Heh! Nevertheless, we had fun roaming around the terrace.
We walked along the streets for a while longer before heading back to Avenue of Youth in search of early dinner as we needed to do some packing before leaving Seoul the next day.

Unfortunately, none of the grill eateries have baby chairs (we were craving for grills!) hence, we ended up taking away Yoogane back to our apartment to enjoy.
The take away turned out to be surprisingly good though it can't beat eating "live" in the shop.(Read more about Yoogane here) Heh! But it's ok. We came on this trip to make memories with Miss Kwek, not to chiong as much as we can like how we used to when it was just us. :)
