3D2N Family Staycation W Hotel, Singapore Cove

With the pandemic not anywhere near ending, we had our Singapoliday this year with W Hotel, Singapore Cove. I have to admit, this was pretty much a staycation I enjoyed alot though there were some restrictions in place like having to reserve a slot for the pool and meals

Being the very kaisu parents, we made reservation for the pool upfront for the 3 days we were there as the kids were really looking forward to the pool. Meal wise, we only reserved for breakfast as we do not like to be restricted by the timing.

Alright, so here's some video of the room and amenities available in the room. We stayed in the Wonderful Room and it was indeed, Wonderful! The room in general was very spacious and especially the toilet, it was a breeze washing the kids up. The kids even enjoyed bubble bath during our stay!

Breakfast was ala carte buffet and it was pretty good, presentation and taste wise. The kids loved the pastries so much, they finished the entire basket before we could have any!

On the second day of our staycation during our morning swim slot, it rained! We ended up ordering room service and it was a great choice! The chicken rice served, though really expensive, was one of the meatiest and yummiest chicken rice we ever had! LOL. Its true!

Thankful for the rain to stop after our meal and we were lucky the lunch time slot for the pool was still available. So off we went to the pool which was both the kids favorite through our 3 days there.

W Hotel pool consist of the main pool, the baby pool and there are jacuzzi corners around the corners of the main pool. C loved the shallow part of the main pool (about 09M deep) as she was able to float with ease, feeling less intimidated as she was able to touch the floor whenever she wants to. L on the other hand, preferred the baby pool for its little water fountain. It makes him splashing-ly happy. There's even a pool slide where adventure seekers could have some splashing good old slide fun!

Quay Side Isle is just a stone throw away hence on the first evening, we took a breezy stroll out and had our dinner at one of the many restaurants available for dine-in. After which, we explored the little area Christmas lights before strolling back to the Hotel.

And if you have not already know, W Hotel has a shuttle bus that brings hotel guests to Beach Station where guests can explore the beach or the other parts of Sentosa with ease without having to worry about transportation.

So on the second evening of our stay, we headed out to explore the other part of Sentosa Christmas lights and have our dinner. It came as a surprise how little Christmas lights there are around Sentosa. However, the kids were still overjoy, making their rounds and posting for photographs.

And worth mentioning is this bulldog statue at the W Hotel reception area which the little boy loved so much! He will make a trip over to say Hi and Bye to the statue every time we pass the reception area!

Just like that, our 3D2N Singapoliday Family Staycation came to an end! All recharged and ready to welcome the new year soon!

Travelling with a Baby: Korea Day 12-15 Incheon [[Fairytale Village + Chinatown + Bupyeong]]

The last leg of our Korea's adventure was spent in Incheon. We took a flight in to Incheon from Jeju and spent the last couple of days in relax mode.

Incheon is often known for being a metropolitan city rather than a tourist destination. The only reason we came was for easier access back to Incheon Airport and well, Incheon's Songwol-dong Fairytale Village!

Songwol-dong Fairytale Village
Address: 38, Donghwamaeul-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon
Directions: Incheon Station (Seoul Subway Line 1) and Exit 2.
Walk straight for about 200m and turn right into the Donghwamaeul-gil road to arrive at entrance of the village.

Incheon's Songwol-dong fairytale village was the only attraction we visited apart from downtown, Bupyeong Underground Mall.
Situated within Chinatown, Incheon's Songwol-dong fairytale village though small, was rather interesting and beautiful to stroll through. We had a fun time cam-whoring with the various mural and sculptures.
Within Incheon's Songwol-dong fairytale village lies a trick-eye museum that was themed around various animations/fairytales!This is one museum not to be missed! Interesting and quirky. Miss Kwek had fun looking at all the murals while we had fun posing with them!

Highly recommended!

After our visit to Incheon's Songwol-dong fairytale village, we made our way back to Chinatown and stroll around for a little before heading back to Bupyeong.
Bupyeong

Bupyeong Underground Mall is pretty huge with many shops and restaurants. It is a great place to chill and that was exactly what we did.

Most of our mornings were spent chilling at Starbucks situated opposite the main shopping mall in Bupyeong. It is often quiet and empty (great for Miss Kwek's morning naps) and has a great view of the road (great entertainment for Miss Kwek!).
While our meals are often taken within Bupyeong Underground Mall, especially at this particular restaurant that serves kongbul (콩불) because firstly, they have baby highchairs (yay!), and the food is affordable and great!
This concludes our first family trip with Miss Kwek! Though this trip was more tiring than we thought it will be, we are still glad we did it! Looking forward to our next trip together!
