It was a short 3 days 2 nights getaway over the weekend to the well preserved, less known part of Phuket: Naithon Beach.
Naithon Beach is situated in the west coast of Phuket, far away from the crowded area of Potong and Kata beach. The area was declared a national park to protect the Olive Ridley Sea Turtles that lay their eggs there hence, it remains relatively undeveloped and left out by majority of the crowds.Naithon Beach is a very good beach to be on, for some peace and quiet relaxing time. :) Mr Kwek and I enjoyed the privacy and quiet time we had there for the 3 days! We stayed at Andaman White Sand Resort which was hosting less than 5 families at that time, hence, it felt like we had the WHOLE resort to ourselves! Doesn't that sounds great?!
We were given a free upgrade of the room (yay!) and wow~ the room was really big and cosy with our own bath tube, rain shower and a balcony!
Andaman White Beach resort also serves free fruit juice and fruits at selected timing everyday! how cool is that?
After lazing around for a little, Mr Kwek and I headed out to the resorts' outdoor terrace, overlooking part of Naithon Beach, to have our brunch. The resort only has one restaurant which was good enough to settle all our meals throughout the 3 days stay as we did not leave the resort to explore the area around. (Yes, the resort was that good, we just wanted to laze the day away by the pool and in our room!)
After brunch, we wanted to head out to the beach to explore. However, the tides were so high, we could barely make our way safely along the coast. Hence, we headed back to the resort and spent the rest of our afternoon at the pool. :)
Mr Kwek was feeling hungry (again) a couple of hours later, so we headed to the terrace and ate once again before heading back to our cosy room to shower and nap!
Unfortunately, by the time we woke up, the sun had set and well, night had fallen. We spent the rest of the night in our room with room service and watching the world cup!
The next day, we woke up just in time to catch the last bites of breakfast serving! Breakfast is served in the restaurant with a indoor terrace overlooking the resorts' pool and beach. The sight was simply beautiful!
As the tides were still high, we laze around the pool side through noon and headed back to our room to laze around. At around 4pm, Mr Kwek headed out to collect the free fruits. To our surprise, the resort was pretty generous with the big portion of tropical fruits:
After enjoying our fruit session at our room's balcony, we headed out to the beach to explore since the tides were lower. As we approached the beach, the sight that caught us was simply indescribable.
Naithon Beach is awesomely beautiful and clean!
Mr Kwek and I spent the next couple of hours camwhoring, exploring the stretch of beach and catching sunset! Funny how time flies when one is having fun!
Soon it was time to head back to the resort for dinner. As always, the lazy us decided to order room service and enjoy our last night in the comfort of our room!
Overall, we enjoyed doing nothing at Naithon Beach and Andaman White Beach Resort! It was one of the most recharging getaway we ever had! :) A different kind of getaway one can consider if there is really a need for a short escape from the hectic city life!
