Mr Kwek made reservation for the night at Comerc 24, hence we had a light lunch to ensure maximum stomach space for our gastronomy dinner that night! :)
We were lucky to arrive in Barcelona at scheduled timing with all the highway jams. While the rest headed to the prearranged restaurant for their dinner, we cabbed down to Comerc 24 for our long awaited dinner.
Comerc 24 is a Michelin starred avant-garde restaurant found by Chef Carles Abellan. This was our first time trying molecular gastronomy and it did, indeed, blew our minds away. The tasting menu was a good choice to have a taste of most of the items on the menu.
For 98Euro per person, we were each served seven random mains, five desserts and one petite four. It was an interesting combination of Catalan cooking injected with influences from around the world. :) We were full to the brim after the three hours plus fine dining.
